I've been hunting for classes or tutorials on how to use my new 5D embroidery software, and a couple of weeks ago I stumbled onto the most beautiful embroidered quilts by Shirley Rosenbrock. I knew I had to buy her tutorials and I hoped they would also teach me the tricks to using the software. I am not disappointed. I don't know if I would have ever figured some of the techniques that she teaches in the tutorials.
I bought the Cinnamon Serenade tutorial and the requisite embroidery designs (plus more from Hatched in Africa because they are currently having a sale). I am putting my own spin on Shirley's basic ideas. The image above is a rendering of my first block.
Here's the second block. I need to change the colors, but I'm not sure what I want.
